About Me
Hello, my name is Rebecca Otto!
I am a 3D character animator with a passion for storytelling and a desire to bring people together through animated stories.
Animation is my passion, but if I were to work any other job I would probably have ended up working with animals. Growing up near two zoos, I've always found myself attracted to sketching all sorts of different animals. The way each animal has individually evolved to move and behave in such unique ways fascinates me, and I love any chance I can get to learn something new in life. I also have been lucky enough to grow up with a few cats and dogs in my life who have brought plenty of fun into my world and have served as motivation to be able to work hard to give them the best lives possible.
My love of animals has greatly affected my path as an animator, with different types of creatures and quadrupeds being my favorite things to animate. Each part of the process, from doing video research and learning each creatures' anatomy to the blocking and then splining brings me a great sense of accomplishment. I also believe that with each animal I animate I become better at animating human characters, and I want nothing more than to continue improving and trying new things that can help me become better in this field.
